WHO TYPICALLY BUYS A U-INSTALL-IT KITCHEN?

Our products are perfect for DIY enthusiasts, handypersons, cabinetmakers, builders and home renovators. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves, we’re here to support you!

Are U-Install-It Kitchens cabinets flat-pack?

No! Your cabinets will arrive pre-assembled, meaning each cabinet is assembled, ready for you to install with panels, infills, handles etc. supplied loosely.

Note – a small selection of cabinets can only be supplied as flat packs, please speak to your consultant for more information.

Can I have some design assistance?

Absolutely! Our staff will be happy to look over your design and give you feedback on what will and won’t work, and point you in the right direction. The final layout, measurements and structural details (e.g. walls, windows, plumbing locations) will be the responsibility of the purchaser.

Who makes sure all the measurements and design are accurate?

As this is a DIY project, consider yourself the Project Manager! This means, you are responsible for managing your project and confirming that the final design, measurements, appliance selection and joinery are suitable for your space.

This includes checking all site measurements, appliance specifications, noting wall locations, cabinetry dimensions, benchtop requirements, splashback allowances and overall layout before placing your order.

Our team is here to guide and support you, but the final responsibility for the accuracy of the order, and suitability of the products rests with you.

Please take the time to carefully review your plans, specifications, and order details before approval.

Will I receive a plan?

If a plan has been drawn for your order, this will be provided at sign off. Please note, we hand draw our plans and use these as a visual guide only. If you need more details, refer to your contract or reach out to your consultant.

Your contract will include a detailed summary of your order specifications, which our factory will manufacture from.

When ordering your products, you must check the final plan against the order summary to confirm accuracy. This includes, but is not limited to, overall measurements, series height, and wall placement.

Is there a minimum purchase value?

Yes, the minimum initial purchase value is $750 AUD inc GST.

How long will my order take?

The standard lead time for cabinetry is approximately 20-25 working days from the day we receive your order and deposit. However, lead times can vary during peak manufacturing capacity and are subject to product availability. Ask us in showroom for our current lead times.

You will receive an estimated delivery date once your order has been processed. Once production of your order has been completed and is ready for delivery, we will contact you with your confirmed delivery date. We recommend not to book any installation trades until you have received this confirmed date. If you have ordered appliances through U-Install-It Kitchens, our appliance supplier will be in direct contact with you to discuss delivery time frames.

Where do you deliver?

Our delivery service covers locations within a 40km radius of Adelaide CBD at no extra charge. For deliveries beyond this range, up to 300km, simply contact us for a delivery estimate. Cabinets are delivered to a carport or garage, not inside the house.

If you reside further than 300km away, we recommend considering the services of a removalist or arranging delivery to a friend or family member’s local residence, from there you can transport the items yourself.

Can I pick up my order from U-Install-It Kitchens?

Currently we don’t offer a pick up option. Where possible, we provide safe, secure and reliable transportation of your products directly from the factory to your home.

How can I get assistance with installation?

We do not provide an installation service for our cabinetry and laminate benchtop ranges. Our products are designed to be simple to plan and install yourself.

For detailed step-by-step guides, we encourage you to visit our website and explore our installation videos, which provide comprehensive guidance.

HOW-TO DIY

Can you arrange installation for me?

U-Install-It Kitchens does not provide installation services, with the exception of our stone benchtops and glass splashback products which must be installed by a qualified professional. Check-measure and installation for these two product ranges is included.

We may be able to provide details of independent tradespersons who may assist with your project. Any installer recommended or referred by U-Install-It Kitchens acts independently and is not an employee, contractor or representative of our business. All installation arrangements, pricing, timelines and workmanship are strictly between you and your chosen installer.

Do I need licensed trades or approvals for my project?

DIY projects may require licensed tradespersons and/or council or building approvals depending on the scope of works being completed.

This may include, but is not limited to, electrical, plumbing, gas, structural or other building-related works.

You are responsible for ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and building requirements. We encourage you to confirm that any tradespersons engaged hold appropriate licences and insurances for the works being performed.

When should I book my trades or installer?

We recommend allowing sufficient time between delivery of your order and scheduling installers or tradespersons. Allowing flexibility in your installation schedule helps minimise the impact of unforeseen issues or adjustments that may arise prior to installation.

Is there a guarantee / warranty?

Yes. Orders supplied through U-Install-It Kitchens come with a 5-year warranty covering products and workmanship. This does not cover faulty installation, water/heat/steam damage or normal wear and tear.

Head to our Service & Warranty page to learn more.
