DIY in four easy steps: measure, design, order, install. Check out how it works below to get started!
Step 1.
Measure your space
To get your project started, you’ll need to measure your space accurately and sketch your floor plan, noting any obstructions like windows and doors.
Your U-Install-It Consultant will use these measurements to ensure your chosen cabinetry products will fit your space, so it’s important to get this part right!

Step 2.
Design your layout
Now you’re ready to design your cabinetry layout either by hand or using our 3D Planner tool. See our How-To Sketch & Design guide.
All we need is a rough plan or drawing of what you’re after. Remember, our cabinet sizes are fully customisable, so this is your opportunity to maximise your storage and create a layout that perfectly fits your space.
We suggest visiting one of our Showrooms to see different layouts on display and gather ideas for your own project.

BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT
When you’re ready to quote your plans, it’s time to book an appointment at one of our Showrooms.
Your appointment is where you’ll work with a U-Install-It Consultant to finalise your design, select your finishes and add your appliances.
Once you’re happy with the plan, your Consultant will prepare and email your quote, which usually takes less than 5 business days.
Step 3.
Order your project
Once you receive your quote, it’s time to double-check your plans and product list to ensure everything is correct.
When you are ready to order, you will sign off and pay your deposit. We will then send your plans to our Lonsdale factory, where your cabinetry will be made to order and delivered to your door in 4-6 weeks.*
The best part? We pre-assemble the cabinets for you, meaning they arrive at your door ready to be installed. That means no confusing flat packs for you to put together!
*Lead times may vary. Ask your consultant for current lead times at the time of quoting.
Step 4.
Install your cabinets
It’s time for the fun part!
Our cabinetry is delivered to your door pre-assembled with hinge and drawer hardware pre-drilled, so you can get cracking on installation the moment our truck rolls out of the driveway.
