This weekend is the big move, actually it’s about a 50 metre move, as we relocate our Lonsdale display room into a new permanent home. You may have seen the signage go up a couple weeks ago.

As part of the new kitchen showroom we will have more working display kitchens to touch and feel, as well as a full range of laminate flooring, handles and other products you need to your DIY kitchen looking amazing.

If you do plan on stopping by on Saturday, you might even get a first hand look at how to install a kitchen, as our display kitchens get installed.

We’ll be open right through Saturday so come and see us and our apologies to anyone that may be inconvenienced during the move.

Due to popular demand, both our Lonsdale and Norwood showroom’s will be open every Saturday.

Our Saturday trading hours are as follows:

• Norwood 10am – 5pm
• Lonsdale 10am – 3pm

This winter it seems the battle is on, with the big 3 commercial TV networks, 7, 9 and 10 all getting in on action. Each has their own take the DIY home renovation reality-tv genre, and as a leading DIY kitchen supplier, U-Install-It Kitchens takes a keen interest in how each show’s participants goes about their renovating, especially when it comes to the kitchen.

With Channel 9′s, The Block, already a few weeks into proceedings, it won’t be too long until we see the 4 couples go toe to toe with their kitchen designs. We’ll be keeping an eye out on how each of the couple approaches the task and will do a write-up in a future blog post about how they went.

In the meantime, we await the launch of Channel Ten’s – The Renovators and Jamie Durie’s Top Design on Channel 9 too with eager anticipation. Hopefully along the course of the show they have their contestants undertake a kitchen renovation too!

It’s been a couple weeks since our last update, but we’ve finally reached the point where our new U-Install-It Kitchens Head Office and showroom building at Lonsdale can be “de-scaffolded”.

This morning, on a cool and bright Adelaide winter morning, we removed the scaffolding from the building fascia, so we thought we’d share some shots with you.

From here on in, much of the work will be internal as we fit-out our new Adelaide kitchen display centre.

If you’ve ventured into our current Lonsdale kitchen outlet (next door in the KT3 building) recently you would have noticed the changes happending inside and out – and we are happy to be able to share our growth with you.

One things for sure, our kitchen products continue to build a loyal following across the Adelaide market – and for that we thank you – our fantastic customers.

Just a quick post to let you know that we will be opening both our U-Install-It Kitchen Display showrooms at Lonsdale and Norwood again this Saturday the 18th June.

Normally we only have our Norwood store open on Saturdays but following such a great response over the June long weekend, we may continue to open our Lonsdale store on Saturday more often.

Make sure you check our website regularly for the latest details and should we decide to revise our kitchen showroom opening times on a permanent basis, then this is the place you’ll know first!
